Jim and Pam are having a baby! Josh Boltz is back in the hot seat as we welcome Cece Halpert to the world. We learn how many tickets you get for double parking at a hospital, and some great techniques to help a new baby latch. we also briefly borrow another couple's baby. Meanwhile, Dwight does some kitchen remodeling.
Episode 106 - Manager and Salesman
Josh Boltz is back to help us navigate Manager and Salesman, the episode that ends the "Jim as Manager" arc and gives us our first in-office introduction to Jo Bennett, played by the incomparable Kathy Bates. Dunder Mifflin may be bankrupt, and Michael has a plan to distract the staff, if only Jim will let him. The bullets and bourbon fly in Scranton as we celebrate 100 episodes and 6+ years of the "Quad P"!
Episode 99 - Double Date
Michael proves himself to Pam as a suitable partner for her mother, mere moments before breaking up with her. Michael Zampino is back as we dive into Double Date, and find it to be one of our favorite episodes of the season, despite an absolutely horrendous B-plot. Great moments from the supporting cast and a cool way to tie the two plots together make this one of the more interesting episodes we've seen in Season 6.
Episode 98 - Koi Pond
Did you know a koi cost $300? Michael and the rest of the office do after a curious incident during a business call. I mean, it's not kiss your co-worker pregnant belly curious, but we'll get there, too. It's a weird one, but can we expect anything less as we move through Season 6? Josh Boltz is back as we try to make sense of the absurdity.
Episode 97 - The Lover
Michael has taken a lover. Unfortunately, it's Helene, Pam's mom. Jim finds out, and things get worse from there. Also, Erin has strict opinions about candy. Michael Zampino is back as we break down this weird episode.
Episode 96 - Mafia
Something feels off this episode. Josh Boltz is back, so that can't be it. He and Brian and Hilton check out the episode Mafia, and struggle to enjoy it, despite so many great character moments. It's clearly an episode that left a mark on culture, so why isn't it sitting right with out crew?
Episode 95 - Niagara
It's wedding time, and that means Pam and Jim and the entire staff of Dunder Mifflin Scranton head to Niagara Falls. Michael Zampino is back this week, sitting down with Brian and Hilton to recap the drama, excitement, and all the fun with MeeMaw! Bring an extra pair of shoes, and watch out for your scrotum, because this is an event to remember. Oh, and don't call people Bumpkins, as a rule.
Episode 94 - The Promotion
Thank God for Creed! He saved what was a less than perfect episode. Michael and Jim are butting heads as Jim settles into his role as co-manager, so co-hosts Brian and Hilton (and co-guest Josh) are dissecting the ins and outs of this complex and not very funny episode. Is it still one to watch? I mean, yeah.
Episode 93 - The Meeting
Josh Boltz is back this week as we dip into Episode 2 of Season 6, The Meeting! Despite having three plotlines and a lot of character moments, we don't love this episode, just like Michael doesn't love meetings he isn't invited to!
Episode 92 - Gossip
It's been a few years since we've had Alyssa Steen back on the show, and since she and Hilton used to work together, office gossip seemed like the perfect reason to have her back! Michael hates feeling left out, and in trying to fit in, he might just ruin Stanley's life! Luckily, Jim and Pam have a real rumor to share, just in time to save the day!
Episode 91 - Company Picnic
We don't care if there's a continuity error, we're glad Pam kicks ass at Volleyball. Honestly, we love this episode, and we're thrilled to have Josh Boltz back to talk about it. Company Picnic pulls out all the stops, as cast members return and core cast have new chances to shine. We also put a wrap on our longest season yet, looking back on the humble days of 202 when we thought recording season 5 would only take a handful of weeks. Oh, the delusion. Anyway, get your team ready, let's take on corporate!
Episode 90 - Cafe Disco
Brett and Hannah are back with Brian and Hilton as we get into the penultimate episode of Season 5, Cafe disco! Michael's obsession with creating a caffeinated dance club in his old office space has the office frustrated, and Phyllis incapacitated. Luckily, Dwight knows his veterinary medicine. This one has a cold open we don't like, and an ending we love. Also, more Kevin and Lynn in the Superfan cut!
Episode 89 - Casual Friday
It's Casual Day! But nothing is casual at Dunder Mifflin. Okay, Meredith is casual. Too casual. I've said casual too many times. Anyway, the salesmen are upset about the clients they lost. Michael's upset no one is apologizing to him. Jim is playing games with Creed. Bread and Hannah from Podcasting to Perfection are hanging out to talk about the shenanigans. Join us!
